	Here is more info about some RedK logo design projects: UPSHOT COFFEE - BOUTIQUE COFFEE MANUFACTURER First off I must let you know that Upshot make the absolute best coffee that I have ever tasted since moving to New Zealand from Sydney twenty years ago. As an Italian Australian I believe I have a genetic understanding of the value of coffee as part of a civilised lifestyle - so do yourself a favour and get yourself down to their roastery in Heathcote Valley. So back to logo design. . . Upshot approached me to help them create a brand identity that reflected their attitude more successfully than the logo that was created for them when they first started the business. As time wore on they just came to the full realisation that their marketing efforts were being hampered by a logo that didn't capture the spirit of their enterprise. So we got together (over a number of great cups of coffee) and developed the new brand. Justin and Megan wanted a brand that had visual strength, was connected to their authentic product qualities and possesed a bit of a tattoo type of personality. They definitely didn't want something that looked too corporate and buttoned down. They encouraged me to develop a "harder" edge for their brand persona. And so this came to pass. So there you have it - the power of design to influence people and make a measurable impact on sales activity!       THE PULSE - CHRISTCHURCH LIBRARY TEEN WEBSITE RedK was asked to tender for a new initiative by Christchurch City Libraries designed to increase the level of engagement by teens with the library. It was great to win the tender as I was up against a couple of the bigger agencies in town. One of the first jobs was to develop the brand that would then go on to form the anchor point for a bunch of other design projects including a new website interface design. It was great working with the library team - very dedicated and passionate individuals who were very expert in managing the complex taks of delivering information in an intelligent and accessible way to a wide cross-section of the community. For this project they engaged me to develop a brand and website that departed from the existing framework that had been used to date because they were looking to achieve something that had a higher level of appeal to a younger audience. This was a project that required a high level of collaboration as there were multiple stakeholder groups that needed to be consulted with. It was very satisfying to evolve a design that was approved by everyone involved.
